As safeguarding advocates- we champion the rights of all children and ensure that every child feels- and is- safe, secure; and shares a sense of belonging when enjoying Nursery life.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility; and we continue to work in close partnership with West Yorkshire Safeguarding Partnership as well as Leeds Safeguarding Children's Partnership.
Best Family Childcare Nursery goes beyond robust policies, procedures and practices- by offering support and working with further safeguarding partners across the city. Our Safeguarding Leads share best practice by working with other educational establishments including Schools and being active participants in Leeds Safeguarding Children's Partnership Practitioner Group.
Our Nursery Team members are subject to a rigorous approach to Safer Recruitment; with all team members sharing an Enhanced DBS Certificate which is routinely checked on through the DBS Update Service. Our Nurturing Team know the expectations of our Nursery's approach to Safeguarding- and actively champion our tight Safeguarding Culture every single day.

Best Family Childcare understand this and offer a supportive partnership with all Parents when monitoring your child's attendance at Nursery. It is our intention to implement the Sickness & Illness policy alongside our Nursery Attendance Policy, to safeguard all children and our wider Nursery Community.
We will always work in partnership with Parents to ensure that children's attendance is supported with a nurturing approach.
Nursery Attendance
Best Family Childcare Nursery is a family-owned Nursery; and as Parents ourselves- it is our intention to afford families accessible & inclusive childcare.
We support all families eligible for the government funded hours and will offer support and advice in ensuring that this is accessed as soon as possible.
It is the responsibility of all Parents to ensure that this is applied for in a timely manner.
