Best Childcare Forest School Nursery is bright, light and highly spacious with resources made from natural materials to encourage children to explore and experiment. Children are supported by highly skilled nurturers to develop and flourish at their own individual pace. We make time for children to be active and to rest in our homely hygge areas to play and to learn, to be indoors and outside, to be sociable and to have time just to be themselves.

We encourage children to develop their own theories so they can make sense of the world around them and to explore their theories with their friends. Our highly skilled nurturers listen to children’s ideas, take them seriously and facilitate these through child-led planning supporting children’s own unique learning journey. We continually review and develop our facilities to reflect on our practice to ensure both our indoor and outdoor environments provide rich varied and safe spaces for children.

Best Childcare Forest School Nursery provides the ideal opportunity for outdoor activities with natural resources children need and exciting opportunities to achieve and develop confidence. We have areas for children to build dens, construct and sculpt using natural materials, digging and green area’s for growing organic fruit and vegetables, edible herb garden, mud kitchen and magical fairy land, mini beast areas for exploration, climbing areas and our purpose built Romanian wagon a unique place for story, reflection, meditation and yoga.

Along with our ground floor outdoor spaces we also have a secret magical balcony area which allows our under 2s to also experience free flow play from the indoor to outdoor environment, with many opportunities for climbing, digging, water play, sensory herb garden and exploration of natural materials, including our purpose built sensory shed. We also consider ourselves as part of our local community and believe that children should grow knowing and appreciating the community in which they live. Therefore, children attending the Nursery are taken out on daily trips to the local shops, library, residential care home as well as nearby parks and woodland to facilitate Forest School.
